Here are some things to note prior to meeting with Chad Plumley:
- The statute of limitations for most personal injury cases is 2 years from the date of accident. After that time you will most likely not be able to receive any compensation for your injuries. The sooner you call us, the more time we have to obtain the documents and information necessary to negotiate a settlement.
- Do not cash any checks sent to you by the insurance company without having the attorney review it first. Depositing a check can be equivalent of releasing the insurance company and/or the at-fault party from any responsibility to pay you additional money.
- Insurance companies usually want a recorded statement from you. We recommend coming to our office to give the statement along side the attorney.
- Errors on police reports and medical records can happen. Be sure to review any documents you receive with regard to your case. If necessary, we can assist in getting things like this fixed so that it does not negatively affect your case.
- Be cautious of what you post on social media as it could affect your case
- Listen to your doctors! Always follow up and receive treatment as recommended, and be sure to not engage in any activities from which you have been restricted.
How is Plumley Law Firm different from other firms?
- Your initial meeting is always with the lawyer who handles your case.
- You have a paralegal assigned to your case who you can call at any time to ask questions and receive status updates. You are also able to speak with your attorney at any time.
- Our firm will contact collection companies and keep them updated on the status of your case which can prevent them from bothering you and decrease the chance of them reporting due bills to the credit bureaus.
- Once your settlement has been received, our firm will contact any medical providers to negotiate any outstanding bills. This ensures that as much of your settlement as possible stays in your pocket.
- Our firm will not settle your case until you are fully recovered or have a set treatment plan to ensure that the settlement covers all your medical bills, future medical bills, lost wages and pain and suffering.
- Chad Plumley has 18 years experience in handling personal injury cases and has proven extremely successful if your case were to go to trial.
